First Post of 2018

A bit late to be posted, but this first quarter has been quite busy for me.  Here are the updates:

So a very exciting piece of news is I bought a new car.  A brand new one.  It's amazing.  I bought a Subaru Crosstrek.  I am loving the Android Auto and the space to haul a few more things.  The sedan was too full of miles and was getting expensive.  Nice for the upgrade.

I have definitely used the all wheel drive a lot!  We have had so much snow this year.  I had several days without power/heat in the house.  Luckily my neighbor has a snowblower for the driveway.  A tree in my front yard dropped quite a few limbs and the township came and cut it down.  So this year, the snow has been hard.

Me in bed without heat or power!
I did manage to do a gig at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego in January.  The weather was even crap out there, but I chose to spend one more night/day in San Diego at the end.  That was the loveliest day ever.  I did yoga on the beach, went to the zoo, drank beer at Modern Times and even had a bit of a ghost visitor in my room at the Del.  Such a nice change to all the snow.

I also had a trip to Chicago for work.  Not the most sunny or warm place to have to visit in February, but I hadn't been to the Midwest in winter for a while.  I got to spend time with my cousin Tim and some friends from college Amy and Jon while in Chicago.  I took the train to up to Milwaukee for the night. Caught up with my cousin Elora and her fiance, Nick, my college roommates Missy and Bettina and more college friends, Amy and Erin.  It was cold and a bit snowy, but lovely to see everyone.

We missed out on a shot with Missy, but here I am with Bettina

I am currently down in Tampa for my last gig for a while.  Looking forward to the warmer weather and spending some time with my my other cousins who live down here this weekend.  Should be a really good time to see all of them!

Next month, little Malcolm Maxwell will be 1 already.  I can't believe how fast the year has gone.  He is getting so big.  I am hoping to get out to Seattle at some point this summer to see him and Nora.  She will be 4 years old in June and already is sending her Amazon wishlist around.  I am sure they will continue to be a blast to spoil.

Looking forward to warmer weather with less snow.  Will plan a bit more for the garden, hopefully get my air conditioning working a bit more efficiently and maybe even get that sump pump installed.  All fun things to do over the next few weeks.
Hope to see more of you all maybe on the east coast this summer!  If not, let's get a skype call on the books.
Lots of love,
Sarah xo
